We want to see any increases in Defense spending targeted, in particular, at providing a better quality of life for our men and women in uniform. This includes better pay, more promotions, and providing proper services and assistance for the families of those who defend our nation. Career paths must be implemented to attract the best and brightest officer candidates... an essential element for America's defense in the high-tech 21st century. Lastly, we must not forget all those surviving servicemen of past conflicts, whether or not the 'public' approved of the particular 'war' or 'action' for which these people were called to serve. The USNP vision for the the men and women who have served America with pride is one of strength, fairness, integrity, and respect. Timeless American virtues.

The USNP treats these issues as States' Rights.
The 10th amendment trumps federal abortion laws; and neither advocates nor denies 'abortion rights' in any state. Article IV, Section 1 declares that "each state must give full faith and credit to the acts, records, and judicial pro-ceedings of every other state."

Law-abiding American citizens should not have to peer out the windows of their homes through iron bars! Judges must be held accountable for issuing lenient sentences to violent criminals as well as being too harsh on first-time, or 'non-violent' mala-en-se offenses. Corruption among judges and lawyers, corrupt law enforcement tactics, and unconstitutional laws must be quickly eradicated. USNP Domestic policy will focus on the safety and welfare of law-abiding citizens while protecting them from public corruption and unjust legal systems. Law-abiding citizens deserve to live in peace, liberty, and security without being swindled for it.

The USNP goal is to restructure the NEA ('Non Education Association' as we call it) and return educational control to the states and local districts, along with responsibility and power to the parents. Education issues are largely a state and local matter. However, minimum national standards must be established and met. Furthermore, we must recognize that not every student is 'college bound'. It is imperative to implement a viable vocational system ensuring a satisfied and skilled labor pool for our future economic security and domestic workforce. The NEA should be converted into 'National Employment Assurance' to fulfill the needs of the nation's future human resource requirements in cooperation with the GAO, HHS, and Department of Labor.

The USNP seeks to drastically reduce tax-filing and phase out the Federal Income Tax System within 10 years. Ultimately, the USNP favors a Federal Sales & Service Transaction tax to be assessed at time of the transaction. The main goal of the USNP tax-plan is to free citizens from the burden, confusion, fraud, and inequity that permeates the current Federal Income Tax System (acronym: FITS, and that's what it gives most of us). America's tax system must be an equitable and simple method of collecting the revenues necessary for national defense, national resources management, foreign policy and aid, and health & human service expenditures. The USNP believes this will create a strong growth incentive and a dynamic economy which will sow the seeds for future innovation and capital investment, creating opportunities for Americans. This will ensure that everyone (legal or illegal) pays.

Too many wealthy retirees have been draining the SS system for years without any regard for their fellow U.S. citizens, children, or grandchildren upon whom they burden their gluttonous behavior. There are many who get $1600 or more per month and feel they are entitled to it, when in fact, they don't actually even need (nor deserve) this money. This 'greatest' generation is creating a fiscal crises and provoking a generational war which they will ultimately lose if they don't cease their theft of the Social Security System.
